Missionary Athletes International is hiring for Human Resource Manager and Ministry Staff Accountant.
For the first role, MAI is seeking an experienced, full-time Human Resource Manager with three or more years’ experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
This emerging role is part of MAI’s growth plan. It is highly collaborative with organization leadership and staff. This individual will be pivotal in supporting existing operations and future growth of MAI from legal compliance to organizational culture. Key responsibilities include interacting with leaders across 8 offices in the US, creating and maintaining systems and processes, and managing payroll.
The compensation for this role ranges between $65,000 and $75,000 based on experience. There is personal support raising involved within the current missionary structure. This role includes some flexibility of schedule including hours and onsite vs. remote work. Additional benefits include nine paid holidays plus Christmas Eve through New Year’s Eve, and fifteen days of Paid Time Off.
MAI is also seeking a full-time Ministry Staff Accountant to support our MAI / Eagles office leaders and staff. This role encompasses a wide range of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities, requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and requirements for timely month-end and year-end close and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting and budgeting principles and a desire to contribute to the financial growth and overall financial health of our ministry-focused organization.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to MAI / Eagles office leaders with payroll inputs.
• Prepare and enter journal entries in QuickBooks online.
• Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks including creation of invoices, collection, and deposit of local donations.
• Conduct bank and general ledger account reconciliations and analysis for local leaders each month, as needed.
• Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
• Assist local offices with the compilation of annual budgets and reforecasts
Qualifications:
• Accounting degree preferred
• Non-profit accounting experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to function with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
• Some scheduled travel to local offices may be required, as appropriate
Compensation:
Expected range $45,000 to $52,500, based on experience and qualifications, with start date expected to be early Q3, 2025
